We selected their exceptional Kenyan SL28 for its incredible delicacy and unusual character. A fermented washed coffee with an almost weightless mouthfeel, it’s light, elegant and wonderfully expressive, with soft grape notes, gentle fruitiness and tantalising touches of umami, superb stuff from Germany!

ABOUT THE COFFEE

Ol’ochoy Farm is known for sustainable, forward-thinking farming and supporting smaller cooperatives, producing high-quality speciality microlots. Located in Kenya’s Rift Valley, coffee and tea thrive side by side at high elevation. This AA-grade coffee is Kenyan Washed, using a traditional double-fermentation process: ripe cherries are hand-selected, pulped, fermented twice, washed and soaked before slow sun-drying on raised African beds. The process can take up to three weeks, with careful grading by size, shape and density to ensure exceptional quality and consistency.
