The cooperative qualifies peculiar lots of coffee with complete traceability, from each farm to the mill and out for export. They also undeline the importance of  sustainable development – both ecological and economic.While some of the best individual producers in Costa Rica have built their own micromills to segregate their coffee and capture the higher market for microlots, many smallholder producers of high caliber do not have their own facilities, and still deliver cherry to cooperatives. This is where CoopeTarrazu comes in: the communities themselves represent collection centers in and around León Cortés in Tarrazu, where producers from nearby towns will deliver their coffee in cherry form for grading, sorting, and processing.

ABOUT The Roaster

His Majesty the Coffee is a micro-roastery established in 2013 Italy. Quality and innovation-oriented, one of the first Italian roastery dealing only with speciality coffee.

The founder Paolo Scimone has a complex personality, his mind is always oriented toward innovation and his soul is rooted in Italian soil with all its creativity and tradition.  He also dedicates time to research and development with his staff every week.
