Description

Heads up! This coffee’s a real fruity volcano! In your favorite cup of coffee, you will find out ripe peach and caramel, contrasting perfectly with notes of citrus. If you are the lucky owner of the V60, Rurima will be perfect for that method, leaving you the enjoyment of the special taste.

Rurima is an Estate located in Embu County, which has been growing coffee since 1963. On 25 acres, owner Simon Gichovi Njiru is growing coffee, macadamia, avocado, maize, beans and banana. Njiru has outfitted his small factory with a disc pulper, and several fermentation tanks and washing channels. After pulping, fermenting and washing the coffee, the parchment is dried on raised beds allowing for air circulation around the drying coffee.

ABOUT The Roaster

Our origins date back to 2009 when Kofeina Art Cafe was founded in Opole. HBCR is directly connected to the owners and employees of this unique place, which in 2016 received the Speciality Coffee Association award as the best Polish Specialty coffee house.

The 10 years of experience in Specialty Coffee industry gave start to the idea of founding Hard Beans Coffee Roasters – a coffee roasting plant specializing in the processing of high quality coffee.

In the future, we are planning to deliver not only coffee-related products but also coffee-based beverages. HBCR is made up of people with passion who share common love. Love for good coffee.
