- Black Currant
Kenya Koimbi will positively surprise coffee gigs with it’s fruit and flower nature. Highly rated in the SCA score sheets, washed coffee from the Muranga region, offers us a lot of citrus, blackcurrant and sweet cranberries in its profile. Its complex acidity and delicate sweetness are best extracted by pour-over methods, especially in Hario V60. It will also work perfectly well in a cold version, in the form of a thirst-quenching, fruity Cold Brew.
The washing stations that produce coffee in cooperative with The Wethaga Coop, pride themselves on having some of the best-paid cherry producer members in the country. The system at the Kenyan Coffee Auction is refreshingly transparent in its communicating where coffees come from, its systematic organization of coffee by screen quality (such as size and physical attributes), and in its practice of rewarding cup quality/sensorial attributes.
ABOUT The Roaster
Our origins date back to 2009 when Kofeina Art Cafe was founded in Opole. HBCR is directly connected to the owners and employees of this unique place, which in 2016 received the Speciality Coffee Association award as the best Polish Specialty coffee house.
The 10 years of experience in Specialty Coffee industry gave start to the idea of founding Hard Beans Coffee Roasters – a coffee roasting plant specializing in the processing of high quality coffee.
In the future, we are planning to deliver not only coffee-related products but also coffee-based beverages. HBCR is made up of people with passion who share common love. Love for good coffee.
