Another Burundi in our offer. Now we have a full house. It’s a perfect occasion to try and compare coffee from the same region in three different processes : natural (Gitwe), honey ( Mikuba) and washed (Gaharo). Gaharo is beautifully sweet and sugary. It has notes of carmel, milk chocolate and is balanced with a pleasant malic acidity approaching plum and pear. Upon finish, it has a touch of creamy lingering mouthfeel. The uniqueness of this coffee is also due to processing station, which has a special place in the heart of Long Miles Coffee. Bukeye is their first washing station, build from scratch with a help of Gaharo farmers and bricks were made from clay found in the valley below. The same farmers who helped to bulid Bukeye now deliver their cherries to it.
ABOUT The Roaster
Our origins date back to 2009 when Kofeina Art Cafe was founded in Opole. HBCR is directly connected to the owners and employees of this unique place, which in 2016 received the Speciality Coffee Association award as the best Polish Specialty coffee house.
The 10 years of experience in Specialty Coffee industry gave start to the idea of founding Hard Beans Coffee Roasters – a coffee roasting plant specializing in the processing of high quality coffee.
In the future, we are planning to deliver not only coffee-related products but also coffee-based beverages. HBCR is made up of people with passion who share common love. Love for good coffee.
