Guatemala is the Mayan heart of Central America. It is a very diverse country with over 300 microclimates that create breathtaking and extraordinary landscapes and a captivating rich culture that reaches back centuries. Most of coffee farms implementing good agricultural practices, protecting the environment, providing good working conditions for workers. Unfortunately the reality outside of most of coffee farms is different and lacks effective recycling infrastructure to protect the beauty and ecological health of the regions. …
This year, 88 Graines created a project “Let’s help to clean Guatemala” with an aim to plan and design a waste management and recycling program for Acatenango and Huehuetenango regions in Guatemala. Both of the regions have no access to any type of waste removal program. This is especially visible in rural areas of the regions where all waste is disposed on the side of main roads or local rivers. Hard Beans, Coffeedesk, 88 Graines, Raul Perez from La Soledad farm, Diane Ovalle from Buenos Aires farm and Hector Ovalle from El Oregano farm created this signature blend for you. From each coffee bag sold, 2 PLN will be dedicated to support this local initiative.
